Welcome
Welcome to the 26th Annual Principal Investigators Meeting for the Innovative Molecular Analysis Technologies (IMAT) Program being held December 1-2, 2025. This year’s meeting is hosted by the University of Virginia Comprehensive Cancer Center and will take place in downtown Charlottesville, Virginia. All investigators with an IMAT award that is active (and not in its first year) at the time of the meeting are invited. Investigators with a newly awarded IMAT grant or those whose project only recently ended are also welcome to attend. IMAT-funded technology development projects are listed on the IMAT website.
The IMAT program plays a key role in supporting innovative and emerging technologies for cancer research and clinical care. This annual meeting is organized to provide technology developers a chance to provide an update on their progress and allow interactions and exchanges of ideas among meeting participants. As a leader in cancer research that is committed to staying ahead of the curve in research, prevention, detection, and treatment, the University of Virginia Cancer Center is pleased to host this meeting to foster innovation in pursuit of our collective mission to reduce the burden of cancer on all those affected by it.
On behalf of the organizing committee, we thank you for your enthusiasm and the important work you do in our mission against cancer. This site will be updated as we get closer to the date of the meeting with information about the meeting agenda, poster assignments, and other details. We look forward to an exciting and productive meeting.
